Women in Business is just business right? Queue Ethel Merman's catchy tune "Anything you can do I can do better". And then the song goes on to a back and forth chorus of "no you can't, yes I can". Business is for human beings, gender doesn't factor into the fact that business is business. But the reality is that business is social interaction. Business is society. Society has had unequal ideas about men and women for some time that we're still seeing impacting our growth in commerce all over the world. One of the most popular slogans of the women’s liberation movement of the 1970s was, "You’ve come a long way, baby." Fast forward to the present day and that might hold true in some businesses, but there are some which seem to maintain a closed-door policy and a glass ceiling that women are still battering themselves against more than 50 years later.
